From a litter of six typey and very uniform individuals, “Siri” is one of two twin sisters (other Kaaterskill) from the highly linebred Kodiak x Kekekabic litter which were named for local landmarks.  Shown lightly as a puppy and a youngster, she started off with a big win of Reserve Winners Bitch from the Puppy class at the Columbine Specialty under master breeder Marie Peterson of Windy Cove fame, the week-end of the National Regional.  A few months later found her winning both Best in Sweepstakes under Duane Butherus (“Ararat”) and Reserve Winners Bitch under Eivind Mjaerum of Norway at the Garden State Norwegian Elkhound Club specialty.

Winning her first points on August 23^rd of 2014, she finished her title four shows later on September 28^th!  Along this “fast track”, Siri also won Best of Breed over multiple Champions three times out of the five and all of her wins came from the Bred By Exhibitor class thus qualifying her for the coveted AKC Medallion for this. Her best win at this time was Best of Breed at the Garden State Norwegian Elkhound Club supported entry at Somerset Hills under Mr. Alan Matthews of Northern Ireland.
