"Kelsey" came to us as a stud puppy from an "only girl" litter containing FIVE! brothers. We had long-admired her Best In Show dam, "Lita" and knew how well similar combinations of these bloodlines had meshed, so the flight in the dead of winter to northern Canada was made to bring this baby bundle home in a Sherpa bag. Kelsey finished her Championship with ease with several Specialty wins enroute to her Championship; Best in Sweepstakes at the Greater Cleveland Norwegian Elkhound Club under Pat Viken ("Vikrest"), Best of Winners at the Norwegian Elkhound Club of Southeastern Michigan for 5 points under breeder-judge Ed Hall ("SoMerri") and Winners Bitch at the Norwegian Elkhound Minuteman Association Specialty under William Cunningham as well as Best in Sweepstakes that same day under Fred Vogel, the week-end of the National Futurity. Her first litter in the summer of '06 by Ch. Kamgaard Konscious Kontact produced some wonderful puppies and her second and final litter by SBIS English/American/Canadian Ch. Kestos Kriega in the summer of '07 produced Ch. Kamgaard Highland Karmann Ghia.  Kelsey is now residing nearby with Dave, Alisa and Keenan Ackerman and she is loving being a "one and only"!
